The Walker 14 was an armed, 3-legged walker used by the Gammetan Military in their early years. Designed by Greto Vehicles, the walker only saw deployment in the Kortorisan-TEC war in 2009, and was retired in 2012 due to a revamp of the ground forces.
Its properties as a walker made it effective at traversing almost all types of terrain in all weathers. It was also an all-rounder in terms of armor and weaponry, capable of engaging most ground targets. The most controversial, and eventually troublesome, feature of the walker was its tripedalism. While this increased its ability to keep balance, especially in unpredictable terrain, it had two downsides: The programming required to make the legs work effectively made the walker overcomplex, meaning Greto had to develop their systems mostly independently, increasing costs; and the mechanism itself was prone to breakdown. In addition to this, it was slow compared to modern tracked, wheeled or repulsor-driven vehicles.
