Origin[]
The BlyDonian Republic needed a new ship to fight in the Second Appearance-Ichiri war, so it employed the designed Tanogoa Yano to design the Thunder Class Capital Ship. It was hastily built to replenish the badly bruised Atlantis Capital Ships.
Use[]
Since the War was concluded, the Thunder Class ships are mainly used now as patrol cruisers to protect the BlyDonian Sector. A few can be found over allied planets, as a sign of good faith. There are only ten in the fleet.
Naming[]
The Thunder Class ships are named after famous battles fought. For a complete list of Thunder Class ship names, see BlyDonian Fleet.
Retirement[]
In October of 2012, there was a clear need for a new vessel to replace the Thunder Class and the Atlantis Class. Thus, the Victory Class Capital Ship was developed and designed on December of 2012. With the first vessel scheduled for release in May of 2013, the Thunder Class and Atlantis Class vessels were retired and decommissioned in March of 2013.
