The Sunrise Class Capital Ship was created and developed to replace the Atlantis Class Capital Ship, which was designed and created in a more antiquated time about two years ago, when Bly still used the Bly Machine and was looking for a frigate to accompany it. It boasts the latest in technology and other advances.
Background[]
President of BlyDonia Tax Pavan approved the creation of the ship in early November of 2011 in order to boost the BlyDonian Fleet. He contacted the best designers in BlyDonia.
Usage[]
The ship is scheduled to replace the Atlantis Class, however it has no intentions on becoming the backbone of the fleet like the Atlantis Class. It was approved after the Tornado Class was scrapped following a prototype disaster.
Engines[]
The engines are a new feature, allowing for rather quick manueverability. This feature was designed and implemented after several BlyDonian Ships were heavily damaged in the Ioxia IX Asteroid Belt.
Shielding[]
These ships also have superior shielding. There is more armor plating in critical and vulnerable places. Full power to the shields is possible, but it drains most critical systems except for life support and power to medical facilities onboard.
Weaponry[]
The Sunrise Class was meant to combat piracy in certain parts of BlyDonian Space and other locations nearby. As a result, it has been equipped with several small fighter batteries as well as some turbolaser anti-capital ship batteries.
