The Appearence Galaxy is a spiral galaxy inhabited by mainly space-age human civilizations. It is 140,000 light years in diameter, a rather large size, and has a peculiar core that is fluctuates in density and heat, resulting in periods of thousands of years where it is habitable, and thousands of years where it is not.

The Appearence has around 500 billion stars, around a tenth of which have a planet. In total, there are around 12,000 planets that can support human life. The core holds a large amount of these, being more dense than the other parts of the galaxy. At current, the core and the immediate surrounding areas harbor approximately 2–2.5 trillion humans. Human origin and evolution has not yet been revealed, but Alislore, being the largest planet by quite a margin in terms of population, is a primary candidate for the homeworld of humans.

Cosmography[]

Parts of the Appearence can be identified using two names: Either its region or its sector. Its region is based on what formation it is in. Since there are nine arms and a galactic core to the Appearence, the regions are named this. There are also 400 sectors, which are designated cubic tiles (seven thousand lightyears across), ranging from A1 to T20. Commonly, it is more specific to refer to position relate to its sector, however some sectors can be in two regions at the same time.
