Star Admiral in the ICN
Takara Ming was a high-ranking Drakonian navy officer. She commanded the entire Imperial Celestial Navy until June of 2011. Her flagship was a Sephiroth-Class Dreadnought named ICN Nosaferatu. She often accompanied Naga Krion to formal events, alongside the Drakonian Empress, Hitiri Nakamura. Takara was known to hold a personal grudge against Bly due to quarrels between the two, and because of his foiling of Takara's plan for her to infiltrate BlyDonian ranks.
Little is known about Takara Ming's early years. her parents died when she was born and she was raied by an older sister. At the age of 18, Ming joined the Imperial Celestial Navy. After scoring extremely high during mandatory training exercises for all citizens, she rose through the ranks quickly. She eventually reached the age of Star Admiral at the age of 41. Ming is considered to be the best ICN commander in the history of the fleet. She led the ICN to many victories. She never feared to lead from the front, and gained a strong reputation among enemies because of her fearlessness. She was very demanding of her subordinates, and was feared by many - both Drakonian and otherwise - but she has a reputation of never ordering her subordinates to do something she wouldn't.
Ming was known to take advantage of Drakonian technology so that she was able to look around the age of 21, despite her age being almost double that. While this may appear unusual, it is quite normal by Drakonian standards and most people die at 100+ looking like they're in their 40s.
Following the disappearances of the Emperor and Empress in June 2011, there was a period of turmoil and chaos as the Empire tried to select a new leader. Ming started a coup, backed by large amounts of the Imperial military, in an attempt to "preserve the Empire", while also being motivated by the desire to rule the Empire. She led the eventually named-Rising Moon until her death in 2033.
In Ming's life, and time as Star Admiral, she gained many friends, allies, enemies, and rivals. She had tense feelings towards BlyDonia and Yulair, especially towards their leaders, even to points where it would become personal. However, in the events that led to Claire Faretel defecting to Drakonia, Ming had gotten to know her. It eventually sprang into a romantic relationship.
While looked on as an amazing military commander during her time with the ICN, she was regarded even better by the Rising Moon during her time as Supreme Leader, and as a great martyr following her death. With the war's end, however, the Empire needed someone to blame for the Civil War, and Ming rightly received the blame. Somewhat unfairly, some records of her military career were purged and propaganda demonized her as a power-hungry maniac.
